In recent weeks Creary has had some connection problems with the CREA blockchain. The cause of the problem is related to the decreasing number of nodes (witness’s), for this reason the network has had many difficulties confirming transactions in recent months. Currently the Creary.net interface is connecting to one of our support nodes. But since there are no more nodes connected to the blockchain network, the decentralization of the network has been lost. The DPoS consensus system needs between 19 and 25 nodes for proper functioning.
Given the lack of nodes and operating with a single node, the network has become centralized and cannot offer the correct functioning of the social network.
The main goal of Creary was to be a decentralized social network. For this reason, it currently does not make sense to maintain a project like Creary.net over time.
If the number of nodes does not increase in the coming weeks, Creary.net could stop working completely.
If you are a Creary user you will have time until November 30 to download files, images, audios, videos and other content that have been uploaded to the social network. Although the multimedia files are hosted on the IPFS decentralized network, after this date we will not be able to guarantee the maintenance of the nodes that host these files.
Creary has always promoted the philosophy of free software and open Creative Commons licenses, for this reason all of Creary’s code is open source and is fully accessible in our Github repository. If any person or group wants to evolve or continue maintaining the social network, they will always have our support.
Creary.net has been a pioneering social network for artists on the web3, 7 years ago we were the first to propose the creation of a decentralized social network for artists, where all types of works of art could be validated on the blockchain under Creative Commons licenses. .
